Note from Kacper – our developer

Our main goal, while working on this application, was to show the beauty of art and to present it to the users of Widows and Windows Phone devices in the most attractive way possible. In order to achieve this, we have designed the application in accordance with the ModernUI guidelines, so that the users have a consistent User Experience when using those devices, but additionally, we have expanded them with our own ideas, such as creating custom live tiles that, on the one hand, present demonstrative photos of the exhibition, and on the other hand, its details with which a person could interact. Moreover, we had to keep in mind so that the applications could be started on different devices, from smartphones, through tablets and computers, right to the Xbox One game console.

For this purpose, we have used the novelty, which was the WinRT platform at that time, and we have used the new ability to share business logic between different platforms.

Of course, this was not without problems, such as memory leaks in WinRT map controls, but we were determined to manage them, so that the client and the users will be fully satisfied with the final product – something that we managed to achieve in 100% because this application is one of the most attractive ones dedicated to art in the Windows Store, which can be seen from the user comments in the store.

Very informative app that covers many national as well as local arts exhibitions. The app itself has an attractive layout and is very user friendly.
